My groups position on Columbus Day

All the members of Group D have agreed that they do not want Columbus Day to still be celebrated. We all collaborated and decided that it would be best to change the name of this national holiday and its meaning. As a group we put together ideas to get the holiday changed. First, contacting our local representers, next the mayor, the senator, ultimately the President of the United States, Barack Obama. Our idea is to promote our reasoning and help others that agree with us to support the cause. We've already created a new name and the true meaning of the day. If we had the proper resources we could go far. I'm hoping this project could leave the classroom bringing our class even our school together to do something different, something new. Group D has put together a prezi for the American History class 14/15. Christina, Briana and I gathered information and Michael, Aamer and Semiha put together the presentation. We worked together as a group, and everyone pulled their weight.
